Anton lives and works near Kiev, the Ukraine. He began making axes in 2005, and has since won national aclaim; his shop is on the National Museum of Folk Architecture. Anton collaborates sometimes with Andrey Zubritsky.

"My rule for historical axes is shape of axe should be gotton by forging your hammer but not on electric grinder. So I spend a lot of time to find how forge ancient axes. My task to get not only similar on the surface axe but copy ancient technology of manufacturing. Thats why my axes are always made with using forge welding."

He makes the handles himself, and mostly from Ash or Beech.  Acacia and Mulberry are also possible. And, just maybe, Bog Oak, but it is extremely expensive. Anton also usually makes the sheaths himself but sometimes a sheath is made by his partner.
